ID Sculpture is a leading manufacturer for glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) commercial playground equipment, climbing boulders, and public art. 

We combine digital fabrication with hand sculpture to create a product that is lightweight yet durable, rich in textural detail, and architecturally accurate. Our proprietary process allows you to plan your project down to the smallest detail like rock type, texture, climbing challenge or integration while maintaining a natural look and feel.

Safety

Safety is at the heart of all we do. Compliance with nationally recognized standards provides a safer environment for children and the general public.

All of our playground features conform to ASTM F1487, the “Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public Use” as well as the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Guidelines. ID Sculpture has Certified Playground Safety Inspectors (CPSI) in-house to ensure that designs are safe and compliant. We proudly offer a range of products certified by the International Playground Manufacturers Association, Inc. Installation

All of our projects are designed and fabricated with installation in mind. We understand the realities of construction sites and have learned how to properly execute even the most demanding installations.

Most of our sculptures are installed by local certified playground installers and contractors. Sculptures come with either an integral footing or are designed for a simple, site-built slab on grade. Your sculpture will come with everything you need to install it, including mechanical connection points, hardware, an easy-to-understand installation guide and an Operations and Maintenance manual.

Durability + Warranty

When it comes to durability, we set the bar high. All ID Sculpture concrete products are warrented for 10 years, although we expect a life expectancy of over 20 years with minimal maintenance. Everything we build is made to last.

Our proprietary concrete was developed through years of experience in the harshest of climates – from the bitter cold of our home in Gunnison, Colorado to the blazing heat of Mesa, Arizona. ID Sculpture’s proprietary concrete mix is the toughest in the industry and is designed for easy maintenance and repair.

In addition to our typical rock finishes, ID Sculpture is capable of matching virtually any geologic texture. Our artists and designers love the challenge of matching site-specific geology and exotic rock-types. Of course, we aren't limited to stone textures from the natural world. Custom sculptures, climbers, and playground features can be finished to look like tree bark, reptile skin, roots, feathers, fur... Whatever the project demands, we can create the perfect matching finish.

Rope Color Choices

Looking at a structure with rope components? ID Sculpture's ropes feature 9-strand steel construction with a braided polyester sheathing in six rope color options. All end-fittings are either stainless steel or aluminum.
